TD-20: This has the same Global setting as in the TD-10 (TD-20 User Guide page 74), but adds a pad level setting (TD-20 User Guide page 36). No ability to set MIDI Channel on a pad-by-pad or kit-by-kit basis (or even to separate the Transmit Channel from the Receive Channel which it should, but I digress). TD-10: You can only set the the Receive and Transmit MIDI Channel together globally. Overlooking any workarounds with patterns, etc., this is what I've known about the TD-10: If I get anything wrong, please correct me. The TD-20 (yours) is more capable of MIDI assignment than the TD-10 (mine). it seems one can just allocate a single channel. at the "group" level (drums/percussion and so on). although one could assign different MIDi channels ona TD20. Input 2 at the other hand - would received MIDI date through channel 11īut. INput 1 for example - would receive MIDI data through channel 10 as suggested by Joe in another thread - one could load two instances of EZ and down the road send the same MIDI notes through the TD20. you can assign different instruments to different MIDI chanels.
